What We Do
We provide free workshops in schools and clubs that allow young people to talk about their challenges without judgement and providing strategies to build emotional muscle with peer support.
Why We Do It
Suicide is the leading cause of death for Australians aged 15-44. 75% of all mental illness will develop before the age of 25. Support and education is vital and we believe early intervention is the best chance for positive change.
Positive Change
We aim to change stereotypes, reach out, talk deeply, and save lives. We want to show young people they are not alone and foster an inclusive, supportive, and honest environment.
Our Vision
Every young person in Western Australia will have the chance to participate in a Kai Fella workshop delivered through our partner Tomorrow People.
How To Help
We are 100% run by volunteers. Your donation will go straight to the front line. Each participant costs $25 and each workshop costs $625. Help our youth live more fully today and donate.

Building support, disrupting stereotypes, courage to talk deeply, get good help, and live fully
Suicide is the leading cause of death for Australians aged 15-44. 75% of all mental illness develops before the age of 25. What if there was a way we could avoid all that suffering and the associated tragic choices made. Having lost Kai, we'll always wonder what we could have done differently. The only conclusion is that there was little else we could have done when Kai reached crisis point. We wish there had been some early intervention available before he reached that point of no return.
At Kai Fella we support a peer based program. The program starts to build the skills so that our youth can navigate mental illness and crises that they or loved ones will inevitably endure in life. It’s a vital piece of education that is not available in our schools today.
Your donation will go directly to support the delivery of the program.

The Tomorrow Man and Tomorrow Woman Perth CBD SPEAK SPEAK UP workshop was attended by an appreciative crowd in May.
This free experiential workshop was run by highly experienced facilitators, providing an opportunity for both men and women to unpack traditional gender roles and to open up, encouraging self-confidence and collective empathy.
There were many laughs, lots of engagement, and valuable sharing of practical tools to enable people to learn how to hold deeper conversations with friends, family, colleagues, and within the Perth community.
With special appreciation and thanks to Dan Sweet and @tomorrowman_au and @tomorrowwoman_au.
Claire Eardley who proudly represented Kai Fella at the event commented “It was amazing to experience how very powerful these sessions are. I encourage everyone to get involved and to support these workshops so that more people can benefit from them.”

Did you know that crying is actually good for you 🥹?
As a phenomenon that is unique to humans, crying is a natural response to a range of emotions, from deep sadness and grief to extreme happiness and joy.
Researchers have established that crying releases oxytocin and endogenous opioids, also known as endorphins. These feel-good chemicals help ease both physical and emotional pain. So the next time you feel like you need to cry, we encourage you to let it ALL OUT 😭! You'll feel better for it, and it's good for your health.
