I’m proud to be a part of the Kai Fella team, and my story here is a personal one. It’s about honouring the memory of my late boyfriend, Kai. His big heart inspired me to help others facing mental health struggles, because no one should have to go through that kind of pain alone.
I’m a physiotherapist by trade and completed my degree in 2017. I now work in the field of Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy, in a bustling tertiary hospital, where I support patients through their health challenges. It’s a job that reminds me every day how precious life is.
Not long after Kai’s passing, life took me on a bit of a detour, and I became a dive instructor in Thailand for a while – a place that holds a ton of good memories of Kai and me. When I’m not in work mode, you’ll probably find me underwater, scuba diving in some beautiful corner of the world. It’s my happy place where I feel closest to Kai and the peace he always talked about.
Mental health advocacy is now woven into the fabric of my life. Having seen how it touches lives in my work and in my personal life, I’m all in when it comes to lending a hand and a listening ear. It’s not just something I talk about; it’s a big part of who I am. I’m here to make a difference, keep Kai’s spirit alive, and most importantly, positively impact as many lives as possible along the way.
