Karen Giles, Executive Officer
Karen is a not-for-profit management professional with a strong commitment to supporting communities. She holds a Bachelor of Business, an Honours degree in Business, and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, bringing both strategic insight and practical expertise to her work.
Her passion for mental health and community wellbeing is deeply personal, shaped by the lived experiences of people close to her. Karen believes that early support and open conversations can transform the lives of young people.
With many years of experience working with community organisations across Western Australia and New South Wales, Karen has led and supported initiatives in governance, planning, and operations – with a focus on creating safe, inclusive, and progressive environments. In addition to running her own not-for-profit focused consultancy, Karen serves as Executive Officer of the Kai-Fella Foundation, where she continues this commitment by identifying and developing funding opportunities to grow the Foundation’s unique workshops that keep young people connected, engaged, and heard.
Outside of work, Karen enjoys being immersed in nature or renovating at home. She shares life with a lively household of humans, a dog, a cat, and even a chicken.
