Be a Fundraiser
With your help we can deliver more workshops
Organising your fundraising event
Getting Started – 3 steps
Thank you in advance! Without donations from your fundraising activities, we would not be able to achieve our goal of preventing youth suicide in WA. Here’s how you can get started.
1. Commit – Decide what you will do to raise funds
If you’re reading this, you probably already have an idea about how you will raise funds for Kai-Fella. If not, take a look at some success stories in MyCause.
2. Register – Tell us about your event
Tell us about your plans to raise funds so that we can support you and promote your event via our social channels. We’re with you! We’ll send you some tips to help you manage your event and provide our bank details, which you’ll need for the next step:
3. Collect – Set up a digital platform to accept donations
You’ll need a place where you can explain about your event and where people can make a donation. We recommend MyCause as it has very low fees, which means more of the funds you raise will go directly to funding workshops in schools and clubs around Western Australia.
Visit the MyCause website and click on ‘Start Fundraising’. Select ‘Charity’ and follow the prompts to create your account.
We are listed within MyCause, so we will receive the donation once your event has ended. (This will reduce admin and avoid any taxation complications for you).
What happens to the money I raise?
Kai-Fella is not limited to funding peer-to-peer workshops, but right now, they are the most direct, transparent, cost-effective, way of delivering our mission.
We can only continue our work to strengthen the mental resolve of young people with your support.
